I always enjoyed art as a young child. I never went to art school. I studied art in the public library, traveled to many places in the world and went to many museums to study art. I trusted my voice inside that I listen to and never gave up … just kept creating my vision.
I began my career as a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. I worked in top hotels and restaurants across America and Hawaii. While in Hawaii working as a chef, I began watching airbrush artists paint. I took up the airbrush, and three months later I had paintings in galleries around the country. Two years later I was teaching airbrush illustration at the Miami International Fine Arts College. I taught there for five years. I also became a sculptor, fused glass artist and a potter. My paintings evolved to include animals, birds and figurative, all with a playful approach that leans toward whimsical. I am constantly expanding my paintings with a curiosity driven sense of humor and plenty of imagination.
